With beach days behind us, it's time to get out and do some fun fall activities!

There are so many things to do during the fall season, it was hard to pick just five. When choosing what to include on my list of five, I made sure people of all ages could participate. Of course, I couldn't pick anything I hadn't already done myself.
Now it's your turn to go have some fun!
Hay Ride

The bumpy ride across uneven terrain and the sound of the tractor engine as you sit in a wagon driven inside fields of corn, on dirt trails, or through a farm housing cows, horses, and pigs is not something you get to experience every day, but is something you will remember.
Where can you experience this outdoor joy? Farms, festivals, pumpkin patches.
If you've never gone on a hay ride, I recommend it.
Corn or Hay Maze

Imagine walking in zig zag patterns, trying to remember which way you came from and where to turn next, but not being able to see over the stacks of hay or long stalks of corn? A little scary - a little thrilling. Definitely a challenge.
I was 11 years old in 1984 when Children of the Corn came out. So, although I think doing a corn or hay maze is a must, the one pictured above is about as far as I go. That movie scarred me for life, lol.
Boo at the Zoo

One of the greatest joys in life for me is animals. Pair that with my favorite time of year and I am in a little piece of heaven.
Boo at the Zoo provides that slice of heaven for me. It is something that is put on locally where I live, but I wouldn't doubt that your zoo hosts something similar.
This daytime adventure is hosted by our local Gulf Breeze Zoo and includes bounce houses, trick or treating, and Halloween fun all while you get to enjoy and learn about the animals.
Pumpkin Carving

It's messy. It's sticky. It must be done. Carving pumpkins. Whether you use your own imagination or a template, carving pumpkins is a tradition. An added bonus, for those of you who cook, is using the insides of the pumpkins to bake a delicious treat.
If all that mess isn't something you want to deal with then pull out the sharpie or some paint, some glue and embellishments and decorate the outside of the pumpkin. I have seen some very creative and magnificent pumpkins embellished in this format. Head over to Pinterest for ideas.
Roast Marshmallows

If you have a fire pit or happen to go camping, be sure to bring the marshmallows. Put them on a stick and let them get a little crispy on the outside and gooey on the inside while the fire keeps you cozy warm.
Take it up a notch and add a graham cracker and Hershey chocolate. You can't go wrong with s'mores, right?!
This season only happens once a year and only sticks around for a couple of months so get out there and enjoy the cooler weather and celebrate the changing of the season.
Rebecca ~
