5 Friday Fun Nights

What better way to end your week than with a fun Friday night?!

This season in our lives is forcing us to find imaginative ways to stay active, build relationships, and have fun without the convenience of Gallery Nights and Farmers Markets and Football Games and Craft Fairs. But this can be a really good thing. It's a great time to create lasting memories and maybe start some traditions.

I'm ready to jump into some fun Friday nights!

Pizza, Popcorn, and a Movie

Grab some friends or family members and pick which movie you want to watch while you wait for your pizza to be delivered. Or better yet, discuss it while you make your own homemade pizza.

Once you're done eating, throw a bag of popcorn in the microwave or do it the old fashion way - on the stove. Dump your popcorn into pretty bowls, grab a throw blanket and cozy up in a chair, on the couch or the floor. If you live somewhere you can camp out in the backyard to watch a movie, I recommend you do. It's so much fun!

Now it's movie time. Turn on the comedy, romance, horror, drama, or home movie that was decided on and sit back and enjoy.

Get Outside

Grab your bikes while the weather is still nice and take a leisurely ride together. A long walk to the ice cream shop can be just the treat you need. Join your kids in a game of hop scotch or tag or play some hoops. Drive to the beach and let the water wash over your feet. Whatever you do, make it fun. You've worked hard all week, now it's time to let yourself relax and rejuvenate.

Game Night

Game night is a big hit.

Board Games: Chess, checkers, Monopoly, Scrabble (my favorite), Trivial Pursuit, Clue, Battleship, Perfection, Escape Room, Jumanji, Jenga,...

Outdoor Games: Bean Bag Toss, potato sack races, yard bowling, badminton, volleyball, basketball, four square, ring toss, croquet...

Contests

Minute to Win It - Recreate Minute To Win It Challenges & see who can complete the most

Cupcake Decorating Contest - a delicious treat to celebrate with.

Dance Contest - shake your groove thing

Escape Room Challenge - create codes and clues leading to the prize

Costume Contest - Halloween will be here soon!

Find Your Creative Side

You don't have to have any special skills to be creative. Just your imagination.

There are so many books and online video tutorials you can learn how to make just about anything these days.

Here are some fun and creative projects: jewelry making, painting, crochet or knit, painted flower pots, mason jar snow globes, painted rocks, headbands, jewelry organizers, wind chimes, wreaths, crowns, coasters, scented pine cones, candles, hand scrubs, birthday cards, and so much more. Hop onto Pinterest for more ideas.

Have a Fun Friday Night!
